Suspect in Club Shooting Charged

Jeffery D. Carty, Jr. 28 of Estate Tutu was arrested and charged with Possession of an unlicensed Firearm and reckless Endangerment in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 7 in the vicinity of the Lexus Night Club in Smith Bay, St. Thomas.
Carty was picked up by Major Crime detectives based on a warrant issued by Magistrate Allan Smith.
He was arrested at about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, October 28.
Carty, who is a native of St. Thomas, was placed on a $75,000 bail and remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending further court actions.
