Querrard, Sr. said Monday, "These crimes can be brought under control if each of us would (1) respect one another and instead of pulling a gun or other weapon in a misunderstanding or argument, be a civilized person and think about the consequences your actions at that time may cause, and (2) get over our differences because each crime in this Territory affects each one of us, no matter if you are related to the victim of a crime or not.
This is our Virgin Islands, if we don't stand up together to what is going on, all of us will be affected sooner or later.
I am urging anyone in the community with information on any crime to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 715-5522, Emergency 911 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS."
