15-Year-Old Minor Shot in Calf

Police on St. Thomas are investigating an Assault Third Degree that left a 15-year-old male minor with a gunshot wound to his right calf.
Police were called to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday May 26, where the minor was present with his aunt.
He told police that he was walking home through the Turnkey shortcut near Building 1 of the Tutu Highrise when he heard several shots firing and realized he was shot.
He contacted his aunt and went to the hospital.
The minor did not know who shot him or why anyone would shot at him.
The case is being followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
