Police on St. Croix are investigating a Kidnapping for Robbery involving a female victim who was forced to give money to four suspects who were on her property when she arrived home. The suspects later took the victims vehicle and it was found by police officers burned in Estate Williams Delight.

Police received the call for assistance at about 10:30 p.m. August 2 and spoke to the 35-year-old victim who said she arrived at the Estate St. John home and noticed the dogs barking. She went around the side of the house to see what was causing the dogs to bark and three masked men dressed in black grabbed her and forced her into her home.  The suspects tied her up, hit her in the head with a weapon and forced her to give them money. The suspects took her laptop, about $500 dollars in cash and her car keys.  They left the area in the victims’ car - a silver Rav4 - which was later found burned in Estate Williams Delight.

The victim was taken to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center, treated and released.  This case is being followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives.   If you know something about this case, please call detectives at 712-6077 or 712-6037. If you wish to remain anonymous and perhaps collect a reward, call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
