Police Looking for a Hit and Run Driver

Police are looking for the driver of a silver or gray Grand Vitera who was involved in a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.
According to the initial report, on Thursday July 5 at about 7 p.m. in the vicinity of Estate Strawberry a 57-year-old male was crossing the street when he was hit by a silver or gray Grand Vitera. The driver did not stop to assist the victim and left the area.
Witnesses said the male driver was parked on the side of the road for several minutes and appeared to by talking on his cell phone before he pulled out and hit the pedestrian. The victim was taken to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center for treatment of several bruises and abrasions.
