Woman Attacked With Barber Scissors

Police officers assigned to the Ancilmo Marshall Command in Christiansted arrested Lenore Althea Lawrence and charged her with Third Degree Assault after a female victim told police she stabbed her several times causing injuries.  

The 24-year-old victim told police that she was unexpectedly attacked after she said “hello” to the 55-year-old suspect. The suspect stabbed the victim with a barber scissors causing cuts on her face, cheek, the left side of her abdomen and her index finger. She was taken to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment. The incident happened in the vicinity of the Sunday Market Square on Wednesday, December 28.  

Lawrence was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. the same day and held on a $25,000 bail. She was remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
