The Major Crime Unit of the Virgin Islands Police Department is investigating the shooting of a Black male that was reported at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006. Police dispatched to Anna’s Retreat found the victim lying on the ground in the vicinity of the basketball court. The victim sustained what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the left armpit. The victim did not appear to have any vital signs and was transported to the Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center.
