Road Surface Disruption Due to Electric Line Distribution Maintenance

Deputy Police Chief Herminio Velazquez would like to inform the Motoring Public that on Saturday and Sunday, November 19 - 20, 2005 from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., traffic on the Road in the Constitution Hill Area will be closed during this period. The Water and Power Authority will be installing and maintaining electrical lines in the Constitution Hill Area.
Deputy Chief Velazquez stated, "This installation and maintenance project will be an on-going by WAPA to upgrade electrical lines throughout St. Croix and will periodically need to close roads or interrupt the flow of traffic to complete this work. We are asking the Motoring Public to use alternate routes to travel into the Christiansted Area by using Queen Mary Highway or the Roads from Constitution Hill through Anna's Hope to Queen Mary Highway in the vicinity of Department of Public Works. Additionally, Flagmen will be available to help with directing traffic."
