Traffic Interruption on Main Street - St. Thomas, USVI

Deputy Police Chief Elvin Fahie would like to inform the Motoring Public that on Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., traffic on a segment of Main Street will be interrupted. The Water and Power Authority has contracted with Bryan¡¦s Electrical Contracting Corporation to install new lines in the manholes along Main Street. The area involved will be on Main Street from the Grand Hotel Building to Wet Willies Bar and Restaurant.

The installation time will be approximately forty-five minutes for each manhole. Traffic will be able to flow, but on a limited bases for the installation at each manhole. Flagmen will be available to help with the directing of traffic. We are asking the Motoring Public to use alternate routes to travel into Downtown Charlotte Amalie during this period.
