VIPD to Dedicate Mobile Substations
April 19, 2007

Police Commissioner James McCall announces the dedication of the mobile police substations for the St. Thomas/St. John districts. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Virgin Islands Housing Authority at #402 Anna’s Retreat, St. Thomas. Senator Louis Patrick Hill, who sponsored the legislation enabling the purchase of the substations, will be in attendance.

Commissioner McCall says the addition of the mobile substations to the police fleet will aid the department in implementing various law enforcement initiatives. “The substations are essentially another weapon in our arsenal to combat crime in the Virgin Islands,” he states.

A similar presentation ceremony of the third substation will be held on St. Croix on May 2 at the Patrick Sweeney Police Headquarters in Estate Golden Grove.
