St. Thomas, USVI - On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at approximately 6:11 p.m., 31-year-old Yoshiri Rivera was placed under arrest and charged with Assault First, Assault Third, Aiding and abetting, Elderly Abuse, and Disturbance of the Peace after being observed on camera footage beating an elderly male repeatedly with a chain. Ms. Rivera turned herself in to the authorities and she was read her Warning as to Rights and turned over to the Bureau of Correction. Her bail was set at $75,000.00.
