St. Croix, USVI - On Sunday March 26, 2023, the Criminal Investigation Bureau was requested at the Juan Luis Hospital emergency room in reference to a gunshot wound victim. Investigation revealed that Mr. Adonis Xavier Ventura fired several shots at the victim while in the vicinity of Estate Glynn, hitting the victim once in his elbow area.

On March 27, 2023, an all-points bulletin was aired in search for Mr. Ventura. Thereafter, on March 28, 2023, Mr. Ventura, turned himself in to the Wilbur H. Francis Command. Mr. Adonis Ventura, 24-years-old, was arrested without incident; he was booked and unable to post bail which was set at $100,000.00. Mr. Ventura was charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He was transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility where he was remanded pending his Advice of Rights Hearing set for Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Superior Court.
