St. Croix, USVI - On December 29, 2022, at approximately 4:21 p.m. during the execution of a telephonic warrant in reference to the investigation of a homicide that occurred on December 28, 2022, in Frederiksted, St. Croix, members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Special Operation Bureau K-9 Unit traveled to #17 East Street, Christiansted, St. Croix where the premises was secured and subsequently the telephonic warrant was executed. During the search of #17 East Street a loaded firearm was recovered and secured for further comparison.

Deseree Maria Rodriquez

Both adults in the dwelling denied knowing anything about the firearm and both were arrested and charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

Renaldo Lewis Santos

The warrant was signed by the Honorable Jessica Gallivan of the Virgin Islands Superior Court.

Bond was set at $50,000.00 as per chart for each. Mrs. Deseree Maria Rodriquez, 52-years-old and Mr. Renaldo Lewis Santos, 42-years-old were unable to post bond and was transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending their Advised of Right Hearing.
