Kingshill, St. Croix - On June 11, 2022, at 2:33a.m., a female reported that she woke up to use the restroom and heard an unusual noise in the living room. The victim stated that after making a check in the living room, a shadow was observed
by the glass door. Further inspection into the noise resulted in her observing Manuel Perez tampering with her living room window.

The victim began screaming and Mr. Perez ran away on foot in a northern direction from the apartment (Candido Guadalupe Housing). The victim identified Mr. Perez as breaking into her home the previous month, stealing her gold chains, and assaulting her
with a knife to her head.
An arrest warrant was signed by the Honorable Magistrate Ernest E. Morris who set the bail at $75,000.00. Perez was charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Destruction of Property.
Manuel Perez 21-years-old, who was already incarcerated at the John Bell Correctional Facility on other charges was remanded at the facility pending an Advice of Rights hearing on Monday, November 21,2022.
