Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - On Monday, October 31, 2022, officers from the Port Authority Police Department were dispatched at 7:59a.m., to the Emerald Beach Hotel in reference to the fight in progress. Preliminary investigation revealed that there was an individual who had been shot during the fight at the Hotel. The male who was shot was taken via EMS to the Schneider Regional Medical Center to receive further medical treatment.

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau, arrested 42-year-old Osie Ferguson in the area of Oswald Harris Court for the shooting.

Ferguson was arrested and charged for Assault 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon During a Crime of Violence, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, Disturbance of the Peace (Fighting) and Simple Assault.

The bail was set at $200,000; Ferguson was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending advice of rights hearing.
