The Monace Deli business was broken into, ransacked, and a substantial amount of money taken.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - On Friday, September 16, 2022 at 6:13a.m., VIPD detectives were notified of a burglary 3rd that occurred at Monace Deli, also known as Veggie Plus, in Barbel Plaza. Contact was made with management who explained that the business was locked and secured at about 5:30p.m. the day prior and upon returning to the business the following day at 6:00a.m., it was discovered that the business was broken into, ransacked, and a substantial amount of money taken.

This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, Criminal Investigation Bureau Detective S. Rhymer at (340) 774-2211 ext. 5572 or Crime Stoppers V.I. at 1 (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
