Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - On June 30, 2022, 9:37pm a caller reported to 911 that several shots were fired on 7^th Street, Sugar Estate, Charlotte Amalie. Officers were dispatched to the scene where they discovered 2 males with a gunshot wound.

EMS was also on scene attending to the victims. One victim received a gunshot wound to the leg; the other victim received multiple gunshot wounds to body. Both were transported by Ambulance to RLSH Hospital. The victim with the leg wound remain in stable condition.

On Sunday, July 3, 2022, CIB was notified at 10:59a.m., that one of the victims identified in the shooting as Janyi Barry, 17-years-old succumbed to his injuries at the RLS Hospital.
