ST. THOMAS, USVI – On February 3, at around 10:30 p.m., police arrested Rakhim M. Rabsatt, age 31 of Bovoni, charging him with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Firearm within 1,000 feet of a School Zone / Housing Community, Driving Under the Influence, and Illegal Blood Alcohol Content.

During a traffic stop on Raphune Hill, Rabsatt failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Although Rabsatt admitted to possessing a licensed firearm, officers also discovered several unlicensed weapons and containers of a green leafy substance which field-tested positive for marijuana in his vehicle. Bail for Rabsatt was set at $50,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
