The Training Bureau develops, conducts, and maintains training
programs consistent with modern training methods and practices. These programs
are designed to increase the overall efficiency and productivity of VIPD
personnel, both sworn and civilian.
The Training Bureau also prepares and
conducts training programs for new employees of the Department. The Training
Bureau provides all departmental elements with current training information to
ensure their ability to properly carry out their duties and responsibilities as
appropriate.
The bureau also assists other enforcement agencies in the training
of their personnel.
