Our Mission
The mission of the Human Resources Management Bureau is to provide efficient and professional service while developing and managing our human resources.

Functional Statement
The Human Resources Management (HRM) Bureau administers all human resource related functions of the department including recruitment, selection, and placement of qualified applicants for employment. It administers employee benefits; training and career development; employee relations and employee programs. It maintains all personnel file; job descriptions; and prepares all documents necessary for appointments, transfers, leaves of absence, salary change, verification of employment/income forms; conducts research for reports on employee related matters and other human resources actions. The HRM Bureau assists with the implementation of the Virgin Islands Police Department policies and procedures as well as local and federal laws while keeping with the mission of the V.I. Police Department.
