Police Investigate Death on St. John

Police are investigating the death of a man on St. John that occurred on Thursday, May 24. Police were called to the home at about 2 p.m. that day and found the victim unresponsive inside his home.
Police said the man, who is a native of Haiti in his early forties, was found inside the Estate Pastory home by his roommate, who lives with him. According to the initial investigation, the roommate told police he came home and was unable to get inside because the doors were locked. After looking through the windows, he saw keys on the table, stuck a pole through the window and retrieved the keys. Once inside the home he found the victim unresponsive on the floor bleeding from the neck. A knife was nearby. He said he left the home and called the police.
The case is being actively investigated by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Police said they are awaiting the Medical Examiners’ report which may reveal the manner of death.
