Police Investigate Murder at Harbor View Apartments

Police on St. Croix are investigating the shooting death of Eugene Williams, assumed to be in his late 20s, who was found dead at the Harbor View Apartments on Tuesday, August 16.
According to St. Croix Police Chief Christopher Howell, at about 6:22 a.m. 911 Emergency Communications dispatchers notified officers of shots fired in the area. Police arrived on the scene within minutes and discovered the body of the lifeless male with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Technicians could not detect any signs of life and the victim was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Major Crimes and Forensics detectives were called to the scene. Chief Howell said this case is under active investigation by members of the Criminal Investigation, Major Crimes and Special Operations Bureau. He urged anyone with information on this murder to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 712-6077, the Major Crime Bureau at 712-6075 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
