    Police on St. Thomas arrested Jonelle Weeks and charged him with Destruction to Property for destroying a boot that was placed on his illegally parked vehicle. The crime happened on Norre Gade on Wednesday, December 28. Weeks was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 29.

  • Suspect in October Robbery Arrested

    Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Thomas have arrested Oriel Destin and charged him with a First Degree Robbery that occurred on October 8. Police said Destin was positively identified as the suspect in the robbery.

  • Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

    Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with a kidnapping that occurred on December 11. The victim in that case he was kidnapped and shot. The victim said he was left in the Salt River area injured by a gunshot wound to his chest and jaw.

    Police on St. Thomas have released the name of the burglary suspect who died after being shot by an occupant of the home he broke into and attempted to burglarize. The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Jennison Toussant.

  • Autopsy Determines Cause of Death

    Traffic Investigation Bureau officers on St. Thomas have determined that the death of Malvin Van Beverhoudt on Sunday, December 4 was not caused by him being hit by a car. The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives for further investigation.

    Police officers assigned to the Ancilmo Marshall Command in Christiansted arrested Lenore Althea Lawrence and charged her with Third Degree Assault after a female victim told police she stabbed her several times causing injuries.

  • Woman Jailed for Making a False Report to Police

    Police said a woman who reported that she was the victim in a domestic violence assault by her former boyfriend had been charged with False Reporting. The police investigation determined that the victim was not assaulted by her former boyfriend, and was instead assaulted by a female friend.

    Police on St. Croix have arrested 59-year-old William Scatliffe and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Battery, Domestic Violence. Police said Scatliffe physically assaulted his wife while they were at their home.

    Police on St. Thomas have arrested a 17-year-old minor charging him with First Degree Assault for shooting and injuring another person in Lindberg Bay. Another 17-year-old minor was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

    Police on St. Croix are investigating a Burglary that occurred at a farm in Estate Castle Burke. Two grey male African parrots were stolen, among other items. Police said one of the parrots says “Patrick” repeatedly.

    Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Thomas have arrested 53-year-old Stephen Frett also known as “Smokey”. Frett was arrested on Tuesday, December 27 at about 7:30 a.m. He was charged with Buying, Receiving or Possessing Stolen Property valued at more than $100.

  • Officer’s Receive Survival Trauma Kits and Training

    Police officers continued receiving life saving training with a presentation by a trauma doctor who explained the uses of the contents of the Officer Survival trauma packs that were distributed to officers. The trauma packs include bandages, tourniquets, and an agent that allows blood to clot quickly. St. Croix Chief of Police Christopher Howell said the trauma packs will be used “for severe emergencies”.

    Devon S. Stroman turned himself into police custody less than 24 hours after a Wanted Poster was issued for his arrest. The wanted poster, including the charges, physical description of Stroman and his photo was distributed to the media on Thursday.

    Police on St. John have reported that a man who was vacationing on St. John drowned on Wednesday, December 21 at about 5 p.m. while swimming in Dennis Bay. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old James Dale Lane of Kyle Texas.

  • Wanted Poster Issued for Devon Stroman

    Police have issued a Wanted Poster and are searching for Devon S. Stroman who is wanted on charges of Aggravated Assault and Battery Domestic Violence. Police said Stroman assaulted a female, punching her several times and causing her foot to break. Stroman and the victim, both 26-years-old, are in a relationship. The assault happened on December 18 near the Richmond Post office.

  • Office Max Employee Arrested for Embezzlement and Grand Larceny

    On Tuesday, December 20 at about 4 p.m. police on St. Thomas arrested 46-year-old Walter Lewis III and charged him with Embezzlement and Grand Larceny. Lewis was observed on surveillance camera taking items without permission or payment from Office Max in the Tutu Park Mall where he was employed.

  • Sneakers Left Behind After Shooting

    December 21, 2011
    Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives are investigating a non fatal shooting that occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 in Lindberg Bay. Police arrived on the scene just a few minutes after being dispatched by 911. Witnesses in the area told police they heard about eight gunshots and saw a male individual dressed in a light blue shirt and dark blue pants pick up a gun that was in the middle of the road way. Witnesses also told police that the same individual was running behind other male and was firing shots at him. Police recovered a pair of white sneakers that was left at the scene.

    Quick thinking police officers performed life saving measures on a suspect after he swallowed a plastic bag of drugs. The suspect, 44-year-old Gregory Galloway, refused medical treatment and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Interfering with an officer Discharging his duties.

    Insular Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Croix have arrested 44-year-old Caliston Serrant and charged him with Drawing and Delivering Worthless Checks in the amount of $2,820.00. Police said Serrant issued the worthless check as payment for the shipment of two vehicles to the Virgin Islands.
