Summary
The Internal Affairs and Applicant Screening Bureau will conduct investigations of complaints alleging misconduct on the part of members of the Department. One of Internal Affairs’ primary functions will be to ensure the adherence to prescribed operational and administrative policies and procedures; it will maintain close liaison with both federal and other area law enforcement agencies. Applicant Screening personnel will investigate the background and personal characteristics of all persons seeking employment with the Department, preparing written reports regarding their findings, to include a recommendation as to fitness for employment.
