1996-1997 PATROL DIVISION
Assigned to various Patrol Zones to include Jurgens Command in St. John. Duties included first responder to calls for service, traffic enforcement, and crime scene preservation
1997-2000 CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION BUREAU
Assigned to investigate all felonies cases, such as Rapes, Robberies, Assaults. Assisted the Major Crime Unit (Homicide) with the translations of Spanish statements
2000-2006 JUVENILE INVESTIGATION BUREAU
Assigned to investigate all juvenile related offenses, such as Felonies and Status Offenses. Assisted with the Boot Camp Program as a mentor.
2006-2009 911 COMMANDER (Promoted to Sergeant)
Responsible for the day to day operation of the 911 System in the St. Thomas/ St. John District. Supervise 16 Dispatchers on three rotating shifts. Also responsible for all the 911 recordings and records. Testified in court about 911 recordings. Supervise Officers in Camera Room and monitor Camera System. Duties also included being the Crime Stoppers Coordinator. Responsible for receiving and disseminating the tips received and doing follow ups to report to Crime Stoppers.
2009- July 2010 COMMAND INSPECTOR/CRIME STOPPERS CORDINATOR
Worked directly under the Chief of Police. Made inspections of all Zones and Bureaus. Met with Officers and Supervisors about issues of concerns. Met Commanders and give them advice for initiatives and deficiencies noted in their areas. Give Chief report on my findings and suggestions to resolve some of the deficiencies noted.
JULY 2010-MAY 2012 ZONE C COMMANDER (Promoted to Lieutenant)
Responsible for the day to day operation of Zone C Command in the Patrol Division. Responsible for over 40 employees which included Supervisors, Officers and Civilian Staff. Investigated Use of Force and Civilian Complaints against Officers. Institute Disciplinary charges or remedial training for Officers. Develop Operational Plans and initiatives to curtail crime such as Burglaries. Develop several crime watch programs in different neighborhoods such as in Peterborg and Wintberg. Ensure that all aspects of the Consent Decree were complied with by Officers and Supervisors assigned in the Zone.
